Final Date for Application Submission: July 3, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM)
Final Date for Depositing Fees: July 6, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM)
Correction & Editing Window: July 7, 2026, to July 9, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM)
Q. Can I modify mistakes made in my initial application?
Direct modifications are locked immediately after clicking submit. However, HSSC will provide a dedicated data correction window on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal from July 7 to July 9, 2026. Applicants can fix incorrect details or re-upload faulty documents during this three-day bracket.
2. Domicile & Category Rules
Q. Are candidates from states outside Haryana eligible to apply for this Group D CET?
Yes. Candidates residing in any Indian state can submit an application form. However, out-of-state applicants are automatically processed under the Unreserved (General) category. They cannot claim state-specific concessions, age relaxations, or socio-economic criteria points.
Q. What are the age boundaries and relaxation parameters?
The general baseline age bracket is 18 to 42 years, calculated precisely as of July 3, 2026. Valid residents of Haryana belonging to reserved categories receive standard state relaxations:
Scheduled Castes (SC) / Backward Classes (BC): 5-year extension.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10-year extension.
Note: The absolute maximum age limit including all possible relaxations cannot exceed 52 years.
3. Qualifications & Vacancies
Q. What is the minimum academic qualification required?
Applicants must have successfully completed Matriculation (Class 10th) from a recognized school board, with Hindi or Sanskrit taken as a mandatory subject during or prior to the matric level.
Q. Are there any positions that do not require a Class 10 pass certificate?
Yes. Under the official Group D service rules, the Class 10 qualification threshold is completely relaxed for specific basic service designations. These include the posts of Sweeper, Chowkidar, and Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar.
Q. Where can I find the exact number of post-wise vacancies for Advt 05/2026?
The current registration process is for the collective Group D cadre pool. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will publish the precise category-wise and department-wise vacancy split as a standalone addendum on its official web portal (hssc.gov.in) at a later stage.
4. Test Mechanics & Marking System
Q. Does this examination include negative marking for incorrect answers?
There is no penalty or negative marking for selecting an incorrect answer choice. However, candidates must remain aware of the mandatory fifth option bubble rules.
Q. What is the 5th Bubble Rule on the OMR sheet?
Every multiple-choice question features five option circles. If you do not wish to attempt a question, you are required to shade the 5th bubble (‘Unattempted’). If you leave all five bubbles completely blank for any question, 1 full mark will be deducted from your score for that specific blank row.
Q. What are the baseline passing marks to qualify the CET?
General Category: Must secure at least 50% marks.
Reserved Categories: Must secure at least 40%
