1. Stage I: Written Examination (OMR-Based)
The primary shortlisting is done through an objective-type test. While some 2026 reports mentioned a potential shift to CBT, the official 2026 notification specifies an offline OMR-based examination scheduled for October 18, 2026.
Format: A single paper containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Total Marks: 450 marks.

2. Stage II: Personality Test (Interview)
Candidates who clear the written merit list (typically at a ratio of 3 times the number of vacancies) are called for the interview.
Total Marks: 100 marks.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: Unreserved (UR) candidates must score at least 41 marks, while Reserved and PwD candidates must score at least 31 marks to be considered for final selection.
Focus: Evaluation of personality, judicial temperament, communication skills, and depth of legal practical knowledge.
