UPTET Syllabus 2026: Paper 1 & 2 New Exam Pattern & Subject-wise PDF Download
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Released a Notification on Its Official Website upessc.up.gov.in For the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). The exam will be conducted once in a year by UPESSC. The official rule from the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) suggests that Teacher Eligibility Tests should be conducted once every year. Since 2021, the UPTET certificate is valid for a lifetime. HTET Syllabus is given below.

| Primary Level (Paper I: Classes 1–5) | To Apply Any One Qualification is Required • Graduation + D.El.Ed (BTC): Bachelor’s degree in any stream with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. • Graduation + B.Ed: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). • 12th + B.El.Ed: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. • Graduation (45%) + B.Ed: Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed (as per NCTE norms). • Specialized Training: Graduation with specialized BTC/Urdu BTC or a Diploma from AMU/Moallim-e-Urdu (before 1997). | ||

| Issuance of Eligibility Certificate |
| 1. Once you clear the cutoff, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) issues an Eligibility Certificate. 2. Validity: The UPTET certificate now has lifetime validity. 3. Purpose: You can use this certificate to apply for future “Assistant Teacher” vacancies in government-run primary and upper primary schools across Uttar Pradesh. |

| Final Year Students: If you are in the final year of your qualifying professional degree (D.El.Ed/B.Ed), you are eligible to apply. Relaxation in Marks: A 5% relaxation in the minimum required qualifying marks in graduation/senior secondary is available for reserved category candidates of Haryana. Validity: The certificate you earn will have lifetime validity. |

| • Filling Out UPTET Form is two Step Process :- 1. Mandatory OTR (One-Time Registration) • Go to otr.pariksha.nic.in or the OTR link on upessc.up.gov.in. • Enter your Name, Gender, Category, Parents’ Name, Date of Birth, and Domicile State. • Verify your Mobile Number and Email ID using the OTPs sent to you. • Fill in your educational qualifications and upload a scanned Photograph and Signature. • Once submitted, you will receive a unique OTR Number. Keep this safe as it is required for all future UP government job application 2. Filling the UPTET Application Form • Login: Go to the official UPTET portal (uptet.upessc.org) and log in using your OTR ID and password/OTP. • Select Paper: Choose whether you are applying for Paper 1 (Primary), Paper 2 (Upper Primary), or Both • Exam Details: Select your preferred Exam Center (usually 3 choices) and your choice of Language II (English, Urdu, or Sanskrit) • Final Review: Double-check all details. Since most of your data is pulled from the OTR, you won’t need to re-enter your personal info • Pay Fee: Pay the application fee online. • Print Confirmation: Download and print the “Final Confirmation Page” for your records |

- The UPTET 2026 Syllabus is divided into two papers based on the teaching level. Both papers consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be solved in 150 minutes, with no negative marking.
