Applying for the SSC JHT 2026 is a two-step process: One-Time Registration (OTR) and the Online Application.
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

Note:- If you have registered on the new SSC website (launched in 2024), you can skip to Step 2. Registrations from the old ssc.nic.in site are no longer valid.
Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)Step 2: Filling the JHT Application Form
Visit the Website: Go to ssc.gov.in and click on “Login or Register”.
New User: Click “Register Now”.
Enter Details: Fill in your Basic Details (Aadhaar number, Name, Father’s Name, DOB, and 10th Class details).
Verification: You will receive OTPs on your Mobile Number and Email ID. Verify both to generate your Registration Number and Password.
Additional Info: Log in with your new credentials to enter your Category, Nationality, and Permanent Address.
Login: Use your Registration Number and Password on the homepage.
Find the Exam: Under the “Live Examinations” tab, look for “Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026” and click “Apply”.
Educational Details: Enter your Master’s degree details and translation diploma/experience information.
Live Photo Capture: Unlike previous years, SSC now requires a Live Photograph.
Use a webcam or the SSC App on your phone.
Ensure good lighting, no cap, no glasses, and a plain background.
Upload Signature: Upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (10 KB to 20 KB; dimensions 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
Exam Centers: Select three preferred exam centers within the same region.
Preview & Submit: Carefully check all details in the “Preview” section. Once submitted, you cannot edit until the correction window opens.
Step 3: Fee Payment
Amount: ₹100 (For General/OBC/EWS).
Exempted: All Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen (Fee is Nil).
Mode: Pay online via Net Banking, UPI, or Credit/Debit cards.
