The selection process for the UPSSSC UPPCB Recruitment 2026 follows a multi-stage process, with the primary mode of evaluation being a Written Main Examination. Here is the step-by-step breakdown of how the selection is conducted:
Stage 1: PET-Based Shortlisting Before the main exam, UPSSSC performs a preliminary shortlisting.
Criterion: Candidates are shortlisted based on their Normalized Score in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025.
Requirement: You must have a valid score (greater than zero/non-negative) to be eligible for the next stage.
Stage 2: Main Written Examination Shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for the Main Examination, which is the core selection tool.
Mode of Exam: Generally conducted in Offline mode (OMR-based), though the commission reserves the right to conduct it as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) depending on the number of applicants.
Format: Objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Language: The paper is available in both Hindi and English.
Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks (1/4th) for every incorrect answer.
